was born as the “Digital Transformation Lab (DT Lab)” in 2018 with the goal of providing
customers with a new digital finance experience.

HIT aims to become the top global AI lab at the forefront of the finance industry of the future. Hana Institute of Technology is an independent in-house CIC (company in company) of Hana
TI, Hana Financial Group’s affiliate specializing in IT.

HEAD

HIT, founded in January 2018 to support the digital innovation of Hana Financial Group (HFG) in a rapidly changing financial landscape, conducts research in a variety of fields to drive HFG’s digital transformation.

Its main research areas include Data Science for customer management, credit risk management, and business efficiency; AI Quant to assist customers in building wealth and planning for a secure retirement; Natural Language Processing, which builds a text-based information environment that satisfies both customers and employees with the advancement of natural language processing technology applied to financial chatbots; AI Vision to provide Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology for the financial sector; and User Experience (UX) for optimal service experience.

Amidst a rapidly changing financial landscape marked by heightened domestic and global uncertainties, HIT remains strongly committed to delivering new financial service experiences to HFG customers and to lead in the innovation and advancement of the financial industry.
